London based interior designer Gretchen Trusted (née Maddox) began her career in management consulting. Following her years in finance, she turned her organizational and management skills to her true love, building on her creative talent and eye for design.

In 2001, she founded Shake the Sky to provide full-service interior design, space planning and project management for kitchens, baths, and living spaces.

A native of California, Gretchen has lived in San Francisco, Boston, Los Angeles, France and currently resides in London. She was educated at Princeton University in the United States, received an MBA from INSEAD (Fontainebleau, France), and a Certificate in Interior Design from KLC School of Design (London).
